Playa de las americas prostitutes
I still fail to see the connection between a clearly black female tourist turning up for two weeks of sun and the racist attitudes if the locals.
For example I have visited Lanzarote twice in the last 5 years and the folk there are very civilised and good people who will treat you with dignity and respect regardless of the colour of your skin. One of the worst experiences I has was at Restaurante Robinson (overlooking the beach at Playa Las Americas) where the maitre d was very short and rude with when I asked about a couple of dishes on the menu.On checking in there was a slip up by our travel agent but the young lady receptionist was very pleasant and sorted all our problems out, she said we could leave our bags on the secure room so we could make the evening meal before. Please take note.I've just tried to get food.30am and seen lots drunk teenagers outside the Gaelic corner.I proffered a mere 20Eur note and she started starring up at it and rubbing. In general I was never greeted with an open smile when entering restaurants as my white dining partner(s) were and never told goodbye. The place is a disgrace. Each evening there is entertainment both inhouse and guests groups or artists and again few people took advantage of this but it was very good with a true warmness towards the hotel guests and the entertainment team.I met two other girls from the north east in my first night out and went on to have a very fun holiday around the Veronicas area. The rooms yes were basic but very clean, we had a TV shower/bath and a balcony overlooking the pool although it saw very little sun, plenty of room there. The resort and me, now in my mid 40s are much more mature.
In a way we were both shaken.
This was not my imagination.
Generally the waiter would rush up as if to ask what I was doing there.
The pool was a decent size cleaned regular with and abundence of sun loungers, tables, chairs and umbrellas yet some people had to be first out and waite for the sun loungers to be unchained.I thought this was just over enthusiasm but I observed how other (white) people where treated and they would generally get a welcome smile and be allowed to be seated in their own time. Some of the reception staff where more than stand off-ish (as reported elsewhere on this site) but barely made eye contact with me when we came to check out.We tried not to let this bother us as we maintained that kasi prostitutes view that it was somewhere to sleep at night.Bars not concerned about how drunk kids get and the drugs and vice in the area is a disgrace.avoid pdla I'm done.I recall meeting a group of fun Russian pilots and cabin crew on stop over. The aggression was so extreme that my dining partner noticed this at it upset her too. After about 2 minutes of this ridiculous analysis she would give me my change and tear my receipt before putting it into my had.I said that that does not give the waiters in the resort the right to bring their confused racist sexual politics into their work. The fellow was shocked and sorry and went on to tell me that 80 of the prostitutes in Las Americas are black African. The manager or deputy made regular visits around the hotel inside and out not forgetting the restaraunt.Playa de Las Americas was fun, optimistic and more or less delivered what it said on the can.The waiter almost hit me in the face with the plates when he removed our dishes.
